About the Senior UX/UI Manager position
We are looking for a skilled Senior UX/UI Manager who will design our software and platforms to help meet our customers' needs. You will make our product more user-friendly and intuitive to attract and retain customers, by combining interfaces and workflows to enhance user experience.
Senior UX/UI Manager responsibilities are:
- Lead design team to work effectively with environments and timeline-based
- Understand business strategy, business requirements to plan strategies for the design team
- Set and achieve performance targets to measure the success of the design team
- Lead design project from their inception to conceptual stages all the way to clear, well-defined experiences, identify pain points, generate ideas, help define requirements, and drive design initiatives that provide measurable value to our customers and business
- Use storytelling, facilitation, and insights about our customers to create empathy to guide the design team
- Use customer feedback and product metrics to make data-driven design decisions
- Utilize data to identify problems and opportunities, and evaluate the solution
- Deliver effective solutions and partner effectively across a matrix of cross-functional product, engineering, and leadership teams
- Collaborate with marketing, branding, technical and strategic data solution team to drive products towards the business goals
- Share your knowledge and mentor team members, while also continuously developing both your own and members skill-set and craft
- Research and improve new methodology, innovation, or a new process for the design team
- Be able to identify issues and obstacles, and deliver solutions from the interweaving between self-knowledge base and the shift of related current trends
Senior UX/UI Manager qualifications are:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 8 years experience as UX Designer, UI Designer or Product Designer
- 3 years experience as UX/UI Designer Manager
- Strong interaction design skills – The ability to think through complex landscapes and systems to create straightforward workflows with a focus on ease-of-use, simplicity, user-centered design methodologies, and usabilities
- Strong visual design skills – the drive to help us push our visual design standards to be constantly improving as our platform grows; the ability and desire to contribute to a holistic design system and help it continuously evolve
- Strong communication skill that ultimately set a common understanding throughout the team and other collaborations
- Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience in collaborating with branding, communication, and software engineer teams
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking, and design ownership skills
- Exceptional understanding of user research, information architecture, wireframing, prototyping, and testing skills
- Ownership mindset and a bias for action to make directionally correct choices with incomplete information
- Ability to work in a highly technical environment; good understanding of technical requirements and limitations
